    Program Information:

    Agricultural Mechanics and Metal Technologies is designed to develop an understanding of agricultural mechanics as it relates to safety and skills in tool operation, electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, fencing, concrete, and metalworking techniques.

    To prepare for careers in agricultural power, structural, and technical systems, students must attain academic skills and knowledge; acquire technical knowledge and skills related to power, structural, and technical agricultural systems and the industry; and develop knowledge and skills regarding career opportunities, entry requirements, industry certifications, and industry expectations.

     

  • This course provides students with the opportunity to learn welding, as well as metal fabrication and design.

    1941 Farmall A tractor restoration project from the 2017-2018 school year.

    1962 Oliver 1650 tractor restoration project from the 2018-2019 school year.

     

    Kubota L185 tractor restored for Kubota Tractor Corporation in Grapevine, TX from the 2022-2023 school year.

     

    Students are encouraged to participate in extended learning experiences such as career and technical student organizations and other leadership or extracurricular organizations. Joining BCTAL FFA gives students the opportunity to participate in stock shows and present projects they’ve worked on over the school year. Prizes range from welding equipment to scholarships.
