• Curriculum Based Assessments & Interims

91ÖÆƬ³§ monitors the academic progress of students through the use of Curriculum Based Assessments (CBAs) and Interim Assessments.

Curriculum based assessments are designed by the Teaching and Learning/Advanced Academics department to monitor curriculum effectiveness. These are short tests administered during a window, and should take less than one class period to complete. Separate tests are administered for each core subject.

Interim tests are given in STAAR tested subjects.  These align to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and students' results help teachers plan instruction. Test questions for the STAAR Interim Assessments have been developed with Texas teachers and include some former STAAR items. More information on Interim assessments can be found at the Texas Education Agency webpage.
